DEAF

Elliot (age 7) is designing a comic on the computer. "Mumma, how do you spell 'deaf'?"

Me: "D...E...A...F"

Elliot: 'How do you spell 'deaf' again?"

Me: "D...E...A...F"

Elliot: "Are you sure that's right?"

Me: "Yes" - holding my hand to my ear "Deaf. D...E..A...F. Like when you can't hear anything."

Elliot: " No not that kind of deaf. I meant the deaf when your living is finished."

Me: "Ah, that kind of deaf... D...E..A..T..H"

Hi Mel, I thought I would come and visit your blog as you were kind enough to visit mine and leave a comment. What a cute conversation. It's one of the best things about being a teacher (and a mum), kids say the cutest things.
