HERO HELP!

My sister, Janine, turns 40 next month. Mum and I are making her a 12x12 ABC album. Each letter is used to describe something about her. It was a great way to use up photos from the years as we didn't want to do a chronological album.

Since Janine probably hasn't even registered that I have a blog (I did tell her once - she thinks it's weird! But then again she's the only one in the family who also doesn't scrap- figure that!) then chances are this post won't give away the secret...

Anyway...

We are nearly finished but I am stuck on the "H" for Hero page. I don't have a photo which is OK. I smacked this together in about 20mins at 10pm last night but it looks unfinished (was that because I used white as the background?). I am happy with the words. Any suggestions to bling it up/fill it up a bit more?

I think if you put it on blue paper and do some doodling around it would look lovely. Or, ink the edges and use a sewing machine to stitch the elements....

Anyhoo - I like this. Who says you have to have a photo on every page anyway? Great job.

What about a strip of something along the top, or some stitching either machine or hand around some of the border. Or dry brush paint the edges - like an ink effect. But really it's pretty cool as is.
Love that title & I love the white...guess I am a white page freak though...lol.

I was just going to say I think it looooks fantastic......but if you feel the need I agree either ink the border or some paint dabbed around the border.

I agree with all thats said...just lovely and love the title! I am a white page freak too atm. I would either a. ink the edges b. do some stitching on the top or c. how about a bit of open lace up the top. I also think something is needed down in the bottom left side in the gap...a button or brad maybe? I think you are just fab doing this album for her! Lucky to have a mum and sister as scrappers aye?

Mel I like the slider down the side of the screen. Cool way to show some of your layouts.

What a great pressie. I think the page looks stunning as is, and wouldn't touch it at all. Hope you are happier with it now after a nights sleep.
