SPECTACULAR

You don't have to go very far to see some spectacular sights. We are blessed that we live in an amzing country. Sometimes I think I take the scenery for granted.

Last night I was looking at photos from our camping trip in the Wairarapa. Look at these. The Pinnacles- Putangirua and Cape Palliser lighthouse. Thanks to Dawn and Pete for the great photos!

NO JUMP

I finally tried out the kid's new trampoline. It's got nets. It's pretty safe. But I don't like it. I don't like jumping. I can't make my feet come off the mat. It's too high. Elli tells me "It's OK, Mama. Breathe in and out 10 times. Like this."

It's no good. I am afraid of heights.

So we lie on the tramp and look at the clouds instead.

OK so I don't do romantic. Well not here. But I did make this for D - for Valentine's Day.

NO DIG

I have quite a large garden. Large enough that if I neglect it for too long it can takes hours (read days) to put it to rights. So some people might wonder why I'm choosing to put in more garden. But during the holidays I visited lots of homes where people had flourishing vegetable gardens. And I want one.

I've been doing research on organic no-dig gardens. That's what I'm building this week. By myself. D just laughs. More weeding.

So our back yard is filling up. New garden. New trampoline. How do you mow round that stuff?

Those Sevens

It was heaps of fun at the Rugby 7s in Wellington this weekend. I am an average sports fan. I go to the odd rugby/cricket game. I have a go at Virtual Super14. ButI'm no diehard. If it's a choice between watching rugby on TV or going out - I'd go out.

But the 7s is a different kettle of fish. You go for the costumes, the music, the dancing, the laughs and the company. Oh, and the rugby. If you haven't been before then beg, borrow or steal tickets next year. You won't be disappointed.
