SELF PORTRAIT TUESDAY BITES THE DUST

For a few months I've been posting pictures every Tuesday (like, EVERY Tuesday) using the challenges set by the Self Portrait Tuesday blog. As of 1 May SPT has outgrown itself and has rebranded as Self Portrait Challenge. It's not called "Tuesday" anymore so as I no longer feel any pressure to post on a certain day I have decided to stop doing it. Fun while it lasted!

The one thing SPT forced me to see was that I'm not in the picture that often. Most scrappers eventually get to recognise that. So the spinoff has been that I make my family take the camera sometimes and snap me. I'm slowly getting used to it (one day I won't look self-conscious in a photo, I promise!).

Reading Nic's blog early today I saw her plug for the Fancy Pants scrapping products. So this morning when I was at Kiwiscraps I picked up a set of the 6x6 chipboard. I got the brackets set. You get 6 6x6 sheets in a pack. So cool and only $13.95 - I thought it was really good value. Happy scrapping!

Nice FP product!! Well goodbye SPT!!! I have to say one of my scrapping goals last year was to have more photos taken of me! So I have definatley done that and now I love having my photo taken. Another thing I do is get Mike to take photos of me after I have been to the hairdresser!!! I love it!!

Good on you treating yourself to the FP brackets. I had just placed my order for Cathy Z's new book and then next time I looked I saw something else I just had to have - oh well back onto my wish list again!

Good on you for giving up SPT. I have to admit that the Tuesday portrait challenge has outlived its value to me too.
I'll have to find something else for us to do together!! LOL

Glad to see that SPT made an impression. Your efforts have certainly rubbed off on me. I was enjoying your Tuesday ritual Mel ... never mind, hopefully you will have time to blog more now Lol!
